120,960 minutes remaining.

The rainy season is on the horizon, I’ve been duly informed that the temperature will be unbearable, the humidity stifling and the rain; unpredictable and heavy. Looking forward to it! It will put a downer on any plans over the next month so I guess my blog will be grinding to a halt again. Hopefully not though, and to keep you up to date with what I’ve been doing, a quick summary.

I went to the baseball, to see the Yomiuri Giants against the Softbank Hawks (Tokyo vs Niigata – I think). Watching Baseball is different from Rugby or Footie in that there’s no whistle to focus your attention and the game is playing whilst your attention drifts away from the game and you often miss important things. The Tokyo Dome was pretty much packed out, we had tickets for seats above the players, the tickets only costing about ¥2300. We all brought shirts to show our support but the atmosphere was only any good when a home run was scored. The final score was 6-2 to Tokyo and I managed to get only a few good shots.

I’ve been learning to play the guitar and have been practising Damien Rice’s Coconut Skins, Oasis’ Wonderwall and Green Day’s Good Riddance. I’m trying to get better and not annoy the neighbours too much with my bad playing.

Travis has now left Nova and thus the apartment so I am all on my lonesome now, I’m debating whether to move into the room he was in or to  stay in my room, I’m not too sure which is better. He left about a week ago now, I came home from going drinking with Ed and his room was completely empty, and there was no sign of him. He’s not been back since so I can only assume he’s now gone.

Finally, My career seems to be heading to Hungary, as one of my pictures is being used (in a doctored format) by an artist for the cover of a Sci-Fi novel in Hungary. The artist expects it to sell in very low numbers but he has emailed me to ask my permission and to see if I want a copy. Once I’m certain which picture he used and what it looks like I’ll be posting links in no time at all. I may be credited in the Book so it’s a little bit of fame for me.

Oh and one last thing, tomorrow I head to Shibuya to buy a plane ticket for the 6th of September, one way to Manchester. 12 weeks is all that’s left…

mata ne! またね!
