I’ve been busy over the last few weekends, visiting Disney Land and Disney Sea, watching Die Hard 4.0 and this current weekend visiting Yomiuriland, a theme park in Kanagawa prefecture. It’s been a bit of a theme park tour recently which has been cool, taking in many different parks and rollercoasters has been an exhausting experience. Disney Sea and Land especially, both of those were 10 hour days, something that I’m still recovering from now!
In terms of news from here, the biggest piece of news is that there was the earthquake on Monday, which struck in Niigata and was felt here in Chiba. I was working at the time and was a little worried when it struck but it was nowhere near the magnitude of the one in Niigata. The day before it struck, Tokyo was braced for a huge typhoon hitting, but again it was a miss. It’s quite unusual to have a typhoon this time of year apparently, so it was a little worrying but in the end nothing actually happened.
I have a little over 5 weeks left with Nova, I’ve been telling students and getting a shock reaction. I guess they thought I would be staying longer but I’ve decided it’s time to rejoin the real world and start paying back my debt to society (student loan) and the banks I owe! When I tell the students, the first question is always “Why?” and I always tell them jokingly that I’m getting a real job, some look confused but thankfully most laugh. I hoping that the students will show much generosity and give me loads of presents.
In the next few weeks, I should also have a busy schedule of travelling, I’m hoping to get to most of the places on my hitlist and take lots of snaps before returning home. I’ll have some Disney pictures on Flickr shortly so check them out.
